A “Device” is any device carrying android or apple systems used to access the Dripsy App.
“Services” means the ability to purchase from Venues (as defined below) covers, tables, bottles, drinks or other items offered by the Venues, using the Dripsy App.
Other third parties, such as night-clubs, bars and other venues (collectively, the “Venues”) from which you purchase Services through us, may also collect, use, and share information about you. This Policy does not cover such Venues, other third parties or their services. For information about third-party privacy practices, please consult with such third-parties directly.
1. Information We Gather and Receive
We collect and process different types of information and in different ways, some is personally identifiable and some is non-identifying or aggregated. Here are the types of information we collect or receive:
a) Personal Information. We collect information you provide to us, such as when you use the Dripsy App, create or modify your account, request Services or contact us. This information may include, but is not limited to, your name, birth date, gender, telephone number, email address, billing information (which is stored by a payment processor), profile picture, rating given to Venues or payment method ("Personal Information" or "PI").
You can choose not to provide certain information, but then you might not be able to take advantage of some of our features. We use the information that you provide to create your account, respond to your requests, customize our features, and communicate with you.
We may develop a social media aspect to the Dripsy App. You may share information that you post to the Dripsy App with your followers, including your reviews, photos, check-ins, comments, friends, lists, bookmarks, likes, etc. Your Dripsy App’s account may be created through your Facebook account.
b) Device Information. We may collect Device-specific information (such as your hardware model, operating system, Device settings, unique Device identifiers and mobile network information including phone number if you wish to include it). We may associate your Device identifiers or phone number with your account.
c) Log Information. We may automatically record or log information from your Device, including information that your Device sends whenever you are using it: the Device’s Internet Protocol (“IP”) address; Device event information such as crashes, system activity and hardware settings; app features or pages viewed; type of browser; and the third-party site or service you were using before interacting with the Dripsy App.
d) Contacts Information. If you permit the Dripsy App to access the address book on your Device through the permission system used by your mobile platform, we may access and store names and contact information from your address book to facilitate social interactions through the Dripsy App and for other purposes described in this Policy or at the time of consent or collection of the contact information.
e) Location Information. If you permit the Dripsy App to access location services through the permission system used by your mobile operating system (“platform”), we may also collect the precise location of your Device when the Dripsy App is running in the foreground or background. We may also: derive your approximate location from your IP address; obtain locale preferences; obtain application activity such as upload, download, installation, uninstallation, start, play duration, stop, crashes, network activity and resource consumption; collect date and time stamps associated with transactions; collect system configuration information, metadata concerning your applications; and other interactions with the Dripsy App.
f) Google Analytics. This is used to collect information about how visitors use the Dripsy App. We use this information to compile reports and to help us improve the Dripsy App. The information collected is anonymous, including the number of visitors to the Dripsy App, where visitors have come to the Dripsy App from and the pages they visited. g) Crashlytics. This service offers a suite of services providing mobile application developers with information about the functioning of publicly released and beta versions of their mobile applications. The information collected would allow us understand the issues that cause instabilities in the Dripsy App.
h) Answers. This is used as a software development kit and associated services, the information collected is focused on analysis and computation of the behavior and usage of mobile applications, including app analytics, event tracking, and conversion tracking
i) Appsee: This qualitative app analytics platform provides an in-depth analysis of user’s behavior. The information collected allows Steelic to understand its users’ behavior.
j) E-mail Communications. To help us make e-mails more useful and interesting, we may receive a confirmation when you open an e-mail from the Dripsy App, if your Device supports such capabilities.
k) Dripsy App Usage Information. We may collect information about which Venue, Services and features you interact with within the Dripsy App.
l) Information we Collect from Other Sources. We might receive information about you from other sources that we could use to make our own information better or more useful.
2. Use of Information
a) We may use the information for the following:
i. To provide the Services. To authenticate you and Services and content you access through the Dripsy App, including your payment information.
ii. To understand and improve the Dripsy App. To operate and improve the Dripsy App including, making the Services more useful and accessible to you, developing new features and services, and to link or combine with other personal information we get from third parties to help understand your needs and provide you with better service.
iii. To communicate with you.
iv. To investigate and prevent fraudulent, unauthorized or illegal activity. We may use your information to protect, investigate, and deter against fraudulent, unauthorized, or illegal activity.
By providing your mobile phone number, you expressly consent to receive direct dial calls, autodialed and prerecorded message calls, and text messages from us relating to our products and Services at that number.
b) Do-Not-Track. We do not use technology that recognizes a “do-not-track” signal from your web browser. This technology would allow us to exclude you from any analytics that collect information about your online activities over time and across third party websites.
c) Opt-Out Rights: If you do not wish to receive offers or other notices from us in the future, you can "opt out" by contacting us at the address indicated at the end of this Policy. Please be aware that you are not able to opt out of receiving communications about your account or transactions with us.
d) Accessing Your Information. You are required to provide us with accurate and up to date information. The Dripsy App gives you the ability to amend your data at any time by accessing your account and modifying the information. Any changes will affect only future uses of your PI.
Subject to any legislation that might, from time to time, oblige us to store the information for a certain period of time, we will respect your wishes to correct inaccurate information. Otherwise, we will hold your information for as long as we believe it necessary as detailed in this Policy.
We will comply with users’ requests regarding access, correction, and/or deletion of the PI in accordance with applicable law.
We have security measures in place in our physical facilities and in our computer systems, databases, and communications networks that are reasonably designed to protect information contained within our systems from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, or alteration.
WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR MAINTAINING THE CONFIDENTIALITY OF ANY NON-PUBLIC INFORMATION THAT YOU PROVIDE US. IF THERE IS INFORMATION THAT YOU WISH TO PROTECT FROM DISCLOSURE TO OTHERS, DO NOT PROVIDE IT TO US.
No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure or error free. Therefore, we cannot guarantee absolute security of your information. You also play a role in protecting your information. Please safeguard your user name, email address and password and do not share them with others. If we receive instructions using your log-in information we will consider that you have authorized the instructions. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security. We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, or remove or edit content in our sole discretion.
4. Sharing of Information
We may share the information we collect about you as described in this Policy:
a) Through our Services. Here are some of the ways in which we may share your information (including your Personal Information):
i. With Venues to enable them to provide the Services you request. For example, we may share your name, photo (if you provide one) and rating given to Venues.
ii. With other users if you use a user-sharing service, such as when you inform which Venue you will be visiting;
iii. With third parties to provide you a service you requested through a partnership or promotional offering made by a third party or us or with whom you choose to let us share information;
iv. With the general public if you submit content in a public forum, such as blog comments, social media posts, or other features of the Dripsy App that are viewable by the general public;
b) Other important sharing
Here are some ways we may also share your information:
i. With Steelic subsidiaries and affiliated or unaffiliated entities that provide services or conduct data processing on our behalf, or for data centralization and / or logistics purposes;
ii. With vendors, consultants, payment processors, marketing partners, and other service providers who need access to such information to carry out work on our behalf;
iii. In response to a request for information by a competent authority if we believe disclosure is in accordance with, or is otherwise required by, any applicable law, regulation, or legal process;
v. In connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, consolidation or restructuring, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business by or into another company;
vi. If we otherwise notify you and you consent to the sharing; and
vii. In an aggregated and/or anonymized form which cannot reasonably be used to identify you.
5. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act
The Dripsy App is not directed to anyone under 21 years of age. We are in compliance with the requirements of the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act. If you learn that a minor child has provided us with personal information without your consent, please contact us at the email address below.
6. Links to Third-Party Apps and Websites
When you use the Dripsy App, you may be directed to other websites or applications that are beyond our control. We may also allow third-party websites or applications to link to the Dripsy App. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of any third parties or the content of linked websites or applications but we do encourage you to read the applicable privacy policies and terms and conditions of such parties, applications or websites. The only application to which this Policy applies is the Dripsy App.
7. International Transfers
The information we collect and receive will be held by third parties and may be held in their computers and systems in different countries, including the United States. The information may be accessed by or given to our staff working outside the United States. Your information may be processed by us in the United States. By using the Dripsy App and by providing any Personal Information to the Dripsy App, all users fully understand and unambiguously consent to the collection and processing of such information.
